Our Services
At Shirleys Field Community Farm, we offer a wide range of therapeutic activities and services designed to support wellbeing, build skills, and create meaningful connections.
Therapeutic Horticulture
Our trained practitioners use plants, gardening, and nature connection to help people improve their physical and psychological health and wellbeing, communication, and social skills. Therapeutic goals include improving motor skills, social engagement, reducing stress, learning new skills, and promoting a sense of accomplishment.
Animal Therapy
Spend quality therapy time with our horses, donkeys, and goats. Learn about animal husbandry, stable management, and experience the calming benefits of working with animals. Our therapy animals provide unconditional support and help build confidence.
Organic Food Production
Learn how to grow your own fruit and vegetables using organic methods. We produce weekly veg bags for local customers and teach sustainable growing practices. All our produce is grown without chemicals or pesticides.
Skills Development
We offer training in land management, growing plants, vegetables and flowers, practical engagement skills, crafts, and animal husbandry. We also run group courses on specific subjects including mindfulness and wellbeing.
Community Activities
Join our singing club, participate in the Men in Shirleys Shed project, attend social events, or simply enjoy the countryside and build friendships. We also host garden maintenance teams, educational visits, and corporate challenge days.
